1. Who we are

Elio is an MCAT study app provided by Jeffrey Ngare, a sole proprietor based in Texas, United States ("Elio", "we", "us"). You can reach us at support@studywithelio.com.

These terms apply when you use the Elio app and the website at studywithelio.com. By creating an account or using Elio, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Elio.

2. Who can use Elio

You must be at least 18 years old to use Elio. Elio is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

During the beta, accounts are available by invitation only. We may accept or decline an invitation request, and we may limit the number of accounts.

3. Your account

You sign in with a Google account or another sign-in method we offer. Keep your sign-in secure and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. An account is for one person; do not share it.

4. Plans, payment and our reseller

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Your purchase is also subject to the Paddle Buyer Terms.

• Monthly: $12 per month, charged in advance. It renews every month until you cancel. When you cancel, you keep access until the end of the month you paid for.
• Exam cycle: $79, paid once, for 120 days of access. It does not renew.

Prices are in US dollars. Paddle calculates and collects any sales tax or VAT. We may change prices for future periods; a change never applies to a period you have already paid for, and we will tell you before a renewal at a new price.

5. AI features and the AI allowance

Some features use AI models provided by third parties, as listed in the Privacy Policy. Each plan includes an AI allowance for a period. When most of it is used, some features move to a faster, lower cost model. When all of it is used, AI features pause until the next period. The rest of Elio keeps working.

AI output can be wrong. Check explanations against your study materials before you rely on them.

6. What Elio is, and what it is not

Elio is a study aid. It does not guarantee any MCAT score, admission outcome, or result. Readiness estimates are estimates, shown with their uncertainty, and not predictions you should rely on alone.

Content in Elio is for exam preparation. It is not medical advice and must not be used to diagnose or treat anyone.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• copy, download in bulk, scrape, publish, sell or share Elio's questions, explanations or other content outside your own study;
• share your account or give others access to it;
• use bots or automated tools to access Elio, or try to get around the AI allowance or other limits;
• probe, disrupt or try to gain unauthorized access to Elio, other accounts or our providers;
• upload material you do not have the right to use, or anything unlawful.

8. Your content

You keep ownership of what you add to Elio, such as notes, uploads and settings. You give us permission to store, process and display it only to run Elio for you, including sending it to the providers listed in the Privacy Policy when you use a feature that needs them.

You can export your study data from the Data page in the app. You can ask us to delete your account at any time, as the Privacy Policy describes.

9. Our content and software

Elio's software, design, questions and explanations belong to us or to those who licensed them to us. While your plan is active, we give you a personal, non-transferable permission to use them for your own MCAT preparation.

10. Changes to Elio

Elio is in beta. Features may change, and the service may occasionally be unavailable. We will try to give notice of changes that reduce what a paid plan includes.

11. Ending your use

You can stop using Elio and cancel at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. If we close an account without cause, we will refund the unused part of any period you paid for.

12. Disclaimers and limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, Elio is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, and our total liability to you for any claim about Elio is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be limited.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, except where the law of the place you live requires otherwise.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new date and, for material changes, tell you in the app or by email before they take effect.
